Sports Illustrated's Art Director Steve Hoffman asked me to work with the editors of the magazine's Scorecard section to come up with a series of ideas that displayed some statistical fact about sports. The space was a long thin column an inch wide by the depth of the page. For some of them, like this one about the elevations in Tour de France cycle race, you turned the page on its side to view it.
